"Weather Report"
Paint and beads on a metal platter
This combines two of my favorite Southern
expressions: "fixin to" and "some weather."
When this phrase is uttered, and you hear it a lot
down here, the inference to me is that we're
not having any weather right now.
But just wait. Weather's coming.
I also liked putting it together with the
image of a hurricane, since folks on the coast,
believe it or not, can get a little blase
about tropical storms/hurricanes.
For those of you who live too far inland to know,
those red squares with the black square inside
are hurricane warning flags.
